Job summary

nVent is seeking a technically minded lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to turn real-world challenges into practical data center solutions. This role emphasizes field work, systems integration knowledge, and delivering concrete outcomes for customers.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in a data center power applications role, and can work 100% remotely with 30–50% travel across the US and Canada, including travel to customer sites and industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering or equivalent work experience in the Data Center power industry.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical application's role supporting Data Center power solutions.
• Ability to work 100% remotely and travel 30-50% across mainly the US and Canada. A valid driver's license is required.
• Strong technical background of Air and Liquid Cooling Solutions in the Data Center space is preferred.
• Understanding of Data Center Power Architecture from UPS to rack/equipment level a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer first mentality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a domain authority for nVent Smart Power Solutions, including their application, for nVent functions including Sales, Product Management, Operations, etc.
• Provide first-line product support by providing help to customers and colleagues for nVent Smart Power Solutions.
• Evaluate customer RFIs and RFQs as requested by customers
• Provide technical application assistance for pre and post sales for Smart Power Solutions.
• Lead strategic accounts from a support perspective.
• Prepare any required documentations for pre, post and any required RMA's
• Review training literature for technical accuracy including installation guides and procedures, operations manuals, and online learning.
• Represent nVent in industry as needed at any industry events.
