Job summary

nVent is seeking a key technical lead to partner with customers, sales and engineering to turn real‑world challenges into practical data center solutions. This role is remote with 30–50% travel across the US and Canada and requires a strong engineering background in data center power and cooling systems.

You will act as domain authority for Smart Power Solutions, provide first‑line product support, evaluate RFIs/RFQs, and train customers. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years in a technical applications role for data center power solutions.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% across US and Canada; remote work capability.
• Strong understanding of cooling solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for nVent Smart Power Solutions.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues.
• Evaluate RFIs/RFQs and provide technical assistance.
• Lead strategic accounts from a support perspective.
• Plan activities with the Sales Leader and team.
• Review training literature and installation guides for accuracy.
• Represent nVent at industry events.
• Provide VOC feedback to commercial teams.
