Job summary

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor to lead a team of designers on make-ready projects for power utilities and joint-use poles. The role combines supervision with hands-on design work, prioritizing quality, safety, and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has direct make-ready leadership experience and strong technical knowledge, with flexibility for remote work and occasional onsite orientation. 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET core hours may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of power utility make-ready design experience required.
• Direct experience with joint-use coordination and make-ready recommendations.
• Working knowledge of attachment clearances, pole loading, and utility standards.
• Experience leading make-ready designers as a team lead, supervisor, or manager.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for a team of power make-ready designers.
• Perform technical make-ready design and project work alongside the team.
• Establish priorities, coordinate assignments, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines.
• Review designs for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards and requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on poles, clearances, and make-ready recommendations.
• Support Project Manager and Project Engineer in key tasks.
• Improve project procedures, documentation, and workflows.
• Track team performance and communicate project status across departments.
• Coach and mentor team members and conduct annual performance reviews.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
