Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking a Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor to lead a team delivering make-ready design for power utility and joint-use projects. The role blends leadership, technical oversight, and hands-on design support.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of make-ready design experience, direct joint-use coordination, and proven ability to mentor a design team. Remote work is possible, with a two-week in-person orientation at our Perrysburg, OH office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of power utility make-ready design experience required.
• Direct experience with joint-use coordination and the development of make-ready recommendations required.
• Working knowledge of utility-pole attachment clearances, pole loading concepts, guidance on space rearrangements, pole replacements, and standards.
• Previous experience leading make-ready designers as a team lead, supervisor, or manager is required for candidates outside the company.
• Availability during Sigma’s core working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and supervision for a team of power make-ready designers.
• Perform technical make-ready design and project work alongside the employees you supervise.
• Establish team priorities and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Review make-ready designs for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance on poles, clearances, and make-ready recommendations.
• Support Project Manager and Project Engineer responsibilities.
• Improve project procedures, specifications, standards, workflows, and documentation.
• Train, coach, and mentor team members; deliver annual performance reviews.
