Job summary

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is seeking a Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor in Charlotte, NC. This remote-friendly role combines supervision with hands-on make-ready design work and ongoing project support to meet client deadlines.

The ideal candidate has direct experience leading make-ready designers, strong technical and leadership skills, and a focus on quality and safety. Occasional in-person orientation and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Direct experience supervising power utility make-ready design teams.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop staff while meeting project deadlines.
• Strong understanding of joint-use coordination and pole attachment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for a team of power make-ready designers.
• Perform technical make-ready design work alongside the team.
• Set priorities, assign work, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines.
• Review designs for quality and compliance with standards.
• Provide guidance on pole attachments, clearances, loading, and relocations.
• Support Project Manager and Project Engineer in key tasks.
• Improve procedures, documentation, and workflows.
• Track performance, status, risks, and resource needs.
• Coach and mentor staff; conduct annual performance reviews.
• Promote safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
