Job summary

Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is seeking an experienced Power Make-Ready Design Supervisor to lead a team, oversee make-ready design work, and ensure high-quality, on-time project delivery.

The role combines supervisory duties with hands-on design support, requiring strong technical knowledge of power utility make-ready processes and a track record of developing team capabilities. Remote work is possible with an initial in-person orientation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• 3+ years of power utility make-ready design experience required.
• Direct experience with joint-use coordination and make-ready recommendations.
• Knowledge of utility-pole attachment clearances and pole loading concepts.
• Experience leading make-ready designers as a team lead or manager.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for a team of make-ready designers.
• Perform technical make-ready design work alongside the team.
• Set priorities, coordinate assignments, monitor progress and meet deadlines.
• Review designs for quality, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
• Provide technical guidance on poles, attachments, and make-ready recommendations.
• Support Project Manager and Project Engineer responsibilities.
• Improve procedures, workflows, and documentation; drive process improvements.
• Track performance, workload, risks, and resources across the team.
• Coach and mentor team members to develop make-ready knowledge.
• Complete annual performance reviews and provide feedback.
