Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Power Delivery Solutions division. You will lead a team delivering substation engineering projects for electric utilities across the Northern and Midwestern US, overseeing portfolio performance, client relations, and strategic initiatives.

This role offers remote/hybrid options with preference for applicants near the Chicago area. You will mentor PM staff, manage RFP responses, and drive process improvements while supporting career

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance or related field.
• 7+ years PM experience in electric power industry or related field with BS, or 6+ years with MS.
• Experience with electric utilities and portfolio/contract management.
• Strong leadership for portfolio management and team development.
• Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of project managers to deliver comprehensive substation engineering design projects.
• Oversee portfolio performance: cost, schedule, scope management.
• Drive strategic initiatives and process improvements.
• Mentor project management staff and foster collaboration.
• Interface with clients and stakeholders to report progress and mitigate risks.
• Prepare bid documents, cost estimates, and responses to RFPs.
• Manage monthly invoicing, accruals and accounts receivable.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
