Job summary

Ascend Clinical, LLC is seeking a Phlebotomy Operations Manager to oversee outpatient phlebotomy services delivered remotely with about 30% travel. You will ensure safe specimen collection, regulatory compliance, and a high‑quality patient experience while leading a growing team.

This hands‑on role partners with laboratory leadership and clinical teams to support national diagnostic testing services and CKD programs, while optimizing staffing, workflows, and training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead teams across multiple care environments.
• Knowledge of laboratory specimen collection standards and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory‑provided phlebotomy and operational services across client locations.
• Ensure safe, accurate specimen collection, labeling, handling, and transport per policies.
• Monitor patient flow, specimen integrity, and service quality.
• Adjust staffing assignments and workflows to meet service needs and expectations.
• Perform phlebotomy duties as needed to support continuity of care.
• Support phlebotomy workflows for CKD programs and initiatives.
