Job summary

Oak Street Health is hiring a Pharmacy Technician I for a remote role. You will serve as a liaison among patients, providers, and pharmacists, delivering exceptional customer service with professional phone etiquette from a private home office.

The position requires active CPhT, at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience, and a state license. Bilingual Spanish is preferred. Typical weekly hours are 40, with a pay range of $17.00 to $31.30 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
• Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of residence.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred, medical Spanish a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite.
• Ability to execute daily responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Field inbound calls for refill requests and investigate status.
• Assist/remind patients to obtain refills from retail, independent, or mail-order pharmacies.
• Make outbound calls to other pharmacies as needed.
• Manage 40–50 inbound or 60–80 outbound calls per day.
• Coordinate with care teams to overcome refill barriers.
• Use EMR to send requests and updates to care teams.
• Document information accurately in electronic systems.
• Capture and document patient requests before ending calls.
• Monitor CareReq queue to complete open requisitions.
• Arrange transportation for center visits.
• Schedule off-cadence or requested appointments.
• Triage with nurse line for acute health concerns when needed.
• Process prescription requests per policy and standards.
• Maintain patient privacy in a home office setting.
