Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for a remote role. The technician will act as a liaison between patients, providers, and pharmacists, delivering exceptional customer service and phone etiquette with empathy for Oak Street Health patients.

The position requires at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience, an active state license, and CPhT certification. Strong MS Office and Google Suite skills, US work authorization, and the ability to work remotely with a private home

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of residence
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
• Strong MS Office and Google Suite skills
• US work authorization

Responsibilities

• Field inbound refill requests and process renewal as indicated
• Contact patients and assist with refills across pharmacies
• Make outbound calls to pharmacies on patient behalf
• Handle 40–50 inbound or 60–80 outbound calls per day
• Coordinate with center care teams to overcome refill barriers
• Use EMR to send requests and updates
• Document information in electronic systems
• Arrange transportation for center visits and schedule appointments
• Triage nurse line for acute healthcare concerns
• Maintain licensure and complete Continuing Education requirements
• Other duties as assigned
