Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician I for a remote role. The incumbent will liaise between patients, providers and pharmacists, delivering exceptional customer service and phone etiquette in a private home-office setting to protect patient information.

The position requires a state Pharmacy Technician license, CPhT, and at least 1 year of retail pharmacy experience, with bilingual Spanish preferred. Full-time remote work with comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience.
Active Pharmacy Technician License in the state of residence.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bilingual Spanish preferred, medical Spanish a plus.
US work authorization.

Responsibilities

Field inbound calls for refills and renewal requests, and verify status.
Contact patients to obtain refills from retail, independent, or mail-order pharmacies.
Make outbound calls to pharmacies on behalf of patients.
Manage 40-50 inbound and 60-80 outbound calls per day.
Coordinate with care teams to overcome barriers to refills.
Use EMR to send requests and updates to care teams.
Document requests clearly in electronic systems.
Monitor queues and ensure requisitions are completed.
Arrange transportation for center visits.
Schedule patient appointments and use warm transfers for acute concerns.
