The Pharmacy Technician role supports ExactCare patients by handling calls, updating profiles, and coordinating with pharmacists to ensure accurate medication information.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, PTCB/NHA certification, and state registration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PTCB or NHA certification required; maintain current certificate.
• Must maintain a pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service in a phone-based environment.
• Answer a high volume of inbound calls from patients and serve as ExactCare expert.
• Place outbound calls to update medication profiles.
• Assist with patient questions over the phone.
• Work through case queues to support patient care issues.
• Liaise between clinical pharmacists and other medical professionals.
• Perform claim adjudication and auditing duties such as prior authorizations and eligibility checks.
• Collect on patient balances when due.
• Maintain patient records with confidentiality.
• Receive prescription authorizations and transfers; verify through doctor calls.
• Data entry of prescription information with speed and accuracy.
• Make welcome calls to onboarded patients and establish contact.
• Partner with technicians and pharmacists to onboard new patients to ExactCare.
• Support nationwide patient base in a fast-paced environment.
