Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and ensure accurate patient records. The role focuses on collecting demographics, allergies, medication history, payer details, and coordinating communications with doctors and patients to support dispensing operations.

The position requires pharmacy support experience and adherence to regulatory standards, with responsibilities expanding to triage prior authorizations and working with the dispensing software

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum two years pharmacy support experience or healthcare environment experience preferred.
• National CPhT and/or state registration/licensure required where applicable.
• Able to work scheduled hours; shifts may vary by department needs.
• Commitment to compliance and high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Place calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management, copay assistance, and billing information.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information for patient records.
• Manage assigned workflow queues and document information accurately.
• Assist with prescription order setup in dispensing software and maintain compliance.
