Job summary

Lumicera is seeking an Intake Specialist I to enroll new Specialty Pharmacy patients and manage patient records with care. The role involves contacting patients and doctors, translating prescription information into the dispensing software, and assisting providers and insurers with prior authorizations as needed.

The position supports pharmacy operations and requires attention to detail, high ethical standards, and strong communication in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Some college and/or related healthcare coursework preferred.
• National CPhT and/or licensure as required by resident state.

Responsibilities

• Place phone calls to new and existing Specialty Pharmacy patients.
• Enroll patients into specialty services including care management and billing info.
• Answer inbound calls from patients, prescribers, and healthcare professionals.
• Contact doctors to obtain necessary information for enrollment.
• Manage assigned workflow queues and ensure accurate order setup.
• Adhere to all applicable laws and high ethical standards.
