Job summary

Fulgent Genetics is seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager of Pharma Partnerships to grow market presence by identifying and converting opportunities with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. The role requires a strong track record in CRO services, deep NGS knowledge, and skills to engage KOLs, translational oncologists, and biomarker experts.

You will lead cross-functional sales efforts, develop market plans, and guide a team to achieve territory sales and revenue

Qualifications

• B.S. or Master’s degree in life sciences, genetics or biotechnology.
• 5+ years of sales experience in pharma/biotech/clinical trials.
• Deep understanding of Next Generation Sequencing (WGS, WES, RNA-seq, spatial biology, solid tumor profiling, liquid biopsy).
• Knowledge of pathology services and clinical trials.
• Ability to discuss technically with pharma/biotech scientists.
• Strong presentation skills and self-motivation.
• Willingness to travel ≥25%.
• Experience servicing technical leads at pharma companies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for Fulgent sequencing/pharma products and services with pharma/biotech companies.
• Maintain knowledge of Fulgent products and market needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with pharma/biotech companies for clinical trials and R&D programs.
• Support educational, sales, or promotional events and conferences.
• Lead cross-functional teams and negotiate sales arrangements and terms.
