Job summary

Fulgent Therapeutics LLC in Needham, MA is seeking an entry-level Business Development Associate–Pharma Partnerships to help expand our pharma services. You will identify opportunities, initiate client engagement, and support senior BD and scientific teams in translational research and biomarker discovery.

You will engage with pharmaceutical and biotech companies, attend local events, and develop relationships to grow Fulgent’s multi-omics offerings and clinical development support.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics or related field preferred; Bachelor’s with relevant lab or industry experience considered.
• Strong understanding or interest in molecular testing, genomics, proteomics, and biomarker discovery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Confident engaging with scientists and researchers at all levels.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple outreach activities.
• Self-starter with hunter mindset and ability to build a local network.
• Willingness to attend in-person meetings several days per week.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage new contacts within pharmaceutical and biotech organizations.
• Initiate discussions with scientists and decision-makers in translational research and biomarker development.
• Attend local networking events, seminars, and conferences to expand brand awareness and relationships.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings between prospective clients and senior BD or scientific staff.
• Maintain accurate outreach and activity records in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with marketing and BD leadership to prioritize target accounts and outreach strategies.
• Support follow-up activities and ensure smooth transitions from lead to opportunity development.
