Job summary

GeneDx is seeking a Director of Business Development, Biopharma Partnerships to drive growth of our real-world data (RWD) and real-world evidence (RWE) partnerships with global pharma, biotech, digital health, and medtech organizations. This role owns the full enterprise sales cycle—from pipeline generation through close—securing multi-million-dollar MSAs with top-tier pharma partners.

Qualifications

12+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or enterprise sales within biopharma, genomics, digital health, RWE, or data/analytics
Proven track record of closing $2M–$10M+ enterprise deals with major pharmaceutical companies
Deep commercial and strategic expertise spanning digital health, RWE, pharma, and medtech

Responsibilities

Own and drive the enterprise sales pipeline end-to-end, from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close, with a focus on $2M–$10M+ MSAs with pharma leaders
Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve aggressive revenue targets
Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to C-suite and VP-level stakeholders at partner organizations
Lead complex, multi-stakeholder deal structuring and negotiations
Provide strategic input to the commercial partnerships roadmap and pricing
Translate observed client needs into product development priorities with cross-functional teams
Build and maintain a robust network of senior decision-makers across biopharma, biotech, digital health, and medtech
Represent GeneDx at major industry conferences and partner forums
