Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP seeks a Principal to oversee audit engagements with a focus on Public Housing Authority (PHA) and HUD-related work. You will manage engagements, supervise staff, and drive client development while representing the firm in the market.

Qualified candidates have 9+ years in public accounting, a CPA license, and a proven ability to manage significant fee bases and meet deadlines with strong communication and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; advanced degree a plus.
• CPA license required and strong understanding of accounting and tax rules.
• 9+ years of experience in public accounting or equivalent balance of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all client engagements from planning to staffing, timing, and billing.
• Supervise and mentor staff at all levels and develop professional talent.
• Identify and pursue new clients; meet annual sales goals and contribute to firm growth.
• Lead government and affordable housing audits, especially PHA/HUD engagements.
