Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to join the PERSEC Team. You will initiate clearance actions, process background investigations, and support agents and government clients in obtaining or maintaining access to sensitive information.

The role requires experience with SF86 processing, clearance checks, and coordination with security offices. The position offers a day shift and remote/telework options where applicable.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance is required.
• Familiarity with DISS and NBIS systems.
• 2+ years of personnel security or security experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate security background investigations and processing for various clearance types (T3, T5) using DISS/NBIS.
• Process and coordinate SF86s, fingerprints, and CACs.
• Work with FSOs/CSOs and other security reps to support clearance actions.
