Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist to join the PERSEC Team. You will initiate clearance actions, perform background investigations, and coordinate with government agencies to ensure accurate processing of security requirements. The role supports government clients and personnel security services enterprise-wide.

The position requires knowledge of NISPOM, experience with SF86 forms, and proficiency in MS Office. Remote work is available; day shift; Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NISPOM and 32 CFR Part 117.
• Experience processing SF86 forms (e-APP and fillable versions).
• Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and Adobe Pro.

Responsibilities

• Initiate security background investigations and processing for various clearance types (T3/T5).
• Process positions with suitability requirements (NAC, BI, MBI, MRPT, POSIT) and issue CACs (HSPD-12).
• Coordinate with FSO/CSO and security representatives.
• Discuss investigations with OPM for clearance processing.
• Review investigation packages for completeness before submission.
• Assist employees and candidates with security paperwork.
