Job summary

PEAK6 seeks a Senior Personal Lines Underwriter III to act as SME for underwriting inquiries, handle complex risk assessments, and mentor junior underwriters. This fully remote role requires strong communication and regulatory knowledge to ensure high-quality decisions across personal lines portfolios.

The candidate will review complex applications, endorsements, and risk evaluations, while supporting leadership and improving underwriting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, Insurance or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of personal lines underwriting experience, including homeowners and related lines.
• Strong knowledge of insurance statutes, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities

• Independently underwrite complex personal lines applications and endorsements.
• Make high-level risk decisions and provide guidance on complex cases.
• Coach junior/mid-level underwriters and support leadership with high-value risks.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Respond to agent inquiries and maintain strong relationships with clients.
