Team Focus Insurance Group in the United States is seeking an experienced Personal Lines Underwriter III to serve as SME for underwriting inquiries, escalations, and risk evaluations. This role supports agents and internal partners, mentors junior underwriters, and drives process improvements while upholding compliance and high service standards.

Remote position with standard business hours; requires seven+ years in personal lines underwriting, homeowners knowledge, and licensing such as

Qualifications

• Underwriting knowledge in Property/Casualty and personal lines.
• Analytical and decision-making skills for complex risks.
• Verbal and written communication excellence.
• Mentor junior underwriters effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Self-motivation and discipline to work remotely.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
• Active 2-20 or 4-40 license or CPCU/CIC designation preferred.

Responsabilités

• Independently review and underwrite complex personal lines applications and endorsements.
• Make high-level risk selection, pricing, and coverage decisions on complex policies.
• Evaluate high-risk exposures and advise leadership when appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain proficiency across personal lines underwriting functions and expand expertise.
• Respond to agent and client inquiries via phone, chat, and tasks regarding forms, coverage, and endorsements.
• Handle escalated inquiries professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain strong agent relationships and guide policy submissions.
• Identify opportunities to improve underwriting processes and workflows.
• Participate in audits and compliance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies and carrier requirements.
• Mentor junior underwriters and promote best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Contribute to training, policy updates, and cross-functional projects.
• Be a role model for underwriting excellence and customer service.
