Job summary

CBRE seeks a People Business Partner to support rollout and communication of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures across the organization. The role covers onboarding, performance management, employee relations, investigations, and compensation in a remote-U.S. context.

Travel up to 40% monthly, with heavy site visits; proximity to a major airport is preferred. A Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years of HR experience is typical, and proficiency in MS Office, PeopleSoft, and Smartsheet is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant HR experience
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple information sources
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and PeopleSoft/SmartSheet
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
• Sophisticated math skills for percentages and financial calculations

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, career ladders, succession planning, and performance management initiatives.
• Provide employee relations guidance, conflict resolution, and assist with disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling.
• Identify employment-related risks with managers and start investigations/grievances.
• Manage HR functions such as employment, labor relations, and compensation for a business unit.
• Conduct training on performance management, diversity, and related topics.
• Apply in-depth HR knowledge to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share HR knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values to build consensus.
• Impact activities within own team and related teams within broad guidelines.
• Travel to sites up to 40% monthly; prefer proximity to major airports.
• Explain difficult or sensitive information.
• Preferred warehouse-fulfillment centers involve up to 50% walking in large facilities.
