Job summary

CBRE is seeking a People Business Partner to support the roll-out and communication of HR initiatives, policies, and procedures across the organization. You will work within the People Strategy and Operations function to design and monitor HR programs.

The role involves onboarding development, succession planning, performance management, and employee relations, with travel up to 40% monthly to sites and facilities. This is a remote-friendly position based in the USA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and related systems (PeopleSoft, SmartSheet).
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
• Strong math skills including percentages and basic financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with onboarding, career ladders, succession planning and performance management initiatives.
• Provide employee relations guidance, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action and performance improvement counseling.
• Work with managers to identify employment-related risks and begin investigations and grievances.
• Manage HR functions for a business unit, including employment, labor relations, and compensation.
• Conduct training on topics including performance management and diversity.
• Apply knowledge of standard HR principles to complex assignments and propose solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across job disciplines within HR.
• Lead by example and promote CBRE RISE values to build consensus.
• Impact customer, operational, project, or service activities within teams.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies and explain sensitive information.
