Intuit, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax issues across notices, corrections, amendments, and Pay & File with accuracy and independence.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with state and federal notices, amended returns (941-X, W‑2c), and cross-functional collaboration with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams, while mentoring colleagues and growing technical depth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience resolving notices, amendments, and corrections across multiple states.
• Read and interpret IRS and state notices to determine resolution paths.
• Prepare and file amended returns (Form 941-X, W-2c) and manage associated deadlines.
• Knowledge of tax payment and filing regulations; understand employee vs employer tax responsibilities.
• Experience with payroll platforms and case management systems (e.g., Salesforce).

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work: process payroll runs, audit outputs, manage filings and payments, ensure compliance.
• Research and resolve complex State and Federal notices; own cases from intake to closure.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation and confirm receipt within deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns independently on complex amendments.
• Support correction workflows: identify source of errors, quantify tax impact, document audit trails.
• Manage personal WIP queue by SLA dates and maintain complete case documentation.
• Perform trend analysis to identify process or system deficiencies.
• Contribute to SOPs and KBs; update outdated content with solutions.
• Collaborate with Corrections, Amendments, Pay & File, and Tax Notice teams; mentor colleagues.
