Job summary

Intuit seeks a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax issues across notices, amendments, and corrections with high accuracy. This role requires hands-on experience handling complex state and federal notices, and producing amended returns while mentoring peers.

Expect collaboration with Corrections, Amendments, and Pay & File teams in a fast-paced environment. You will manage a busy WIP queue, perform trend analyses, and contribute to SOP updates.

Qualifications

• Hands-on payroll tax experience focusing on notices, amended returns and error correction.
• Familiar with IRS and state notices and diverse state rules.
• Experience preparing amended Federal and State payroll tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-cycle payroll tax case work for assigned accounts.
• Research and resolve complex State and Federal notices independently.
• Prepare agency responses with supporting documentation before deadlines.
• Prepare 941-X and state amendments for complex cases.
• Identify payroll errors, quantify tax impact, and document audit trails.
• Manage workload by SLA and maintain thorough case records.
• Contribute to SOP and KB updates; collaborate with related tax teams.
