Job summary

S&S Activewear is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to manage bi-weekly and ad hoc payroll with precision across multiple states. You will ensure compliance, reconcile data, and respond to employee inquiries while collaborating with HR and Finance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll and compliance with payroll regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly and ad hoc payroll accurately and on time using the company’s payroll systems.
• Calculate wages, deductions, tax withholdings, retroactive pay, and other payroll modifications.
• Review and reconcile payroll data including time records, bonuses, and deductions.
• Prepare quarterly payroll tax reports and filings at federal, state, and local levels.
• Respond to payroll inquiries and maintain auditable payroll records with confidentiality.
• Support payroll reporting for management and coordinate with HR and Finance to resolve discrepancies.
