Job summary

Safelite is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Remote Payroll Analyst to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing across a multi-state, multi-company environment.

This position is responsible for payroll processing, reconciliations, reporting, compliance, payroll system support, and resolving complex payroll and timekeeping issues while partnering with employees, managers, internal teams, and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in payroll.
• 1–3 years of payroll in a multi-state, high-volume environment.
• Knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and accounting basics.
• Proficient Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
• Experience with ADP/UKG/Workday/Oracle Fusion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process regular, off-cycle, and annual payroll accurately.
• Research and resolve complex payroll, tax, timekeeping, and reconciliation issues.
• Process payroll adjustments, incentive taxation, retroactive payments, and other complex transactions.
• Perform payroll audits and reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
• Review payroll and timekeeping reports to ensure data accuracy.
• Build reports and analyze payroll data using Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
• Provide payroll guidance to employees, managers, and external vendors.
• Maintain accurate employee, payroll, and timekeeping records.
• Support payroll system implementations and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain payroll procedures and SOPs.
• Research payroll laws and implement required changes.
• Support compliance with payroll, tax, wage, and hour requirements.
• Work with internal teams and vendors on payroll issues.
• Serve as payroll SME and provide training.
