Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist for a fully remote role within designated U.S. states. You will ensure deposits are posted accurately, reconcile daily cash and bank deposits, and support month-end close with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of medical insurance posting experience, familiarity with payer contracts, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google apps; HIPAA compliance is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contract & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Experience with medical billing software with Raintree Systems experience a plus.
• Basic accounting and math skills.
• HIPAA compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs and spreadsheets for reconciliation.
• Investigate and resolve deposits and posting issues.
• Identify information to clear posting errors and follow ups.
• Participate in month end close.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites.
• Research unidentified payments and determine resolutions.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and escalate.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to billing system and bank.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
