Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. in a fully remote role within designated U.S. states is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist.

You will ensure deposits are posted accurately, perform reconciliations, and handle payment follow-ups with a focus on timeliness and accuracy. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in medical insurance posting, knowledge of payer contracts, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google apps, and Raintree Systems billing software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contracts and government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Experience with payment posting and A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems a plus).
• Basic accounting and math skills; proactive AI fluency for efficiency gains.

Responsibilities

• Ensure receipt of deposits and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly postings.
• Post payments and follow up on outstanding items with clients and payers.
• Investigate deposits, posting errors, and missing information.
• Participate in month-end closing and reconciliation of cash deposits.
• Retrieve remittances from payor websites when needed.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
