Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist for remote work within designated U.S. states. The role focuses on deposits, posting accuracy, and timely reconciliations across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles, with heavy interaction with clients and payers.

Candidates should have 3+ years in medical insurance posting, strong Excel/Office skills, and familiarity with billing software (Raintree a plus). AI fluency is welcome to improve workflows in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contracts and government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Experience with payment posting and A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems a plus).
• Accounting and math skills.
• Basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains and streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain all logs and spreadsheets used for reconciliation.
• Investigate deposits and reconcile postings with supporting documentation.
• Contact payers/clients for information to resolve deposits.
• Identify posting errors and drive resolution.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve remittances from payor websites when needed.
• Research unidentified payments and recoupment.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and inform leads.
• Assist clients with inquiries and information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to billing system and bank.
• Support special projects as assigned.
