Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to ensure accurate posting, deposits reconciliation, and timely follow ups in a fully remote role across designated U.S. states. You will maintain logs, investigate discrepancies, and support month-end close while upholding HIPAA and company policies.

You should bring 3+ years of medical billing experience, proficiency in Office/Google tools, and a keen eye for process improvement. Prior Raintree Systems familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contracts and government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Skilled in using computer applications for payment posting with an understanding of A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems experience a plus).
• Experience in tasks requiring basic accounting and math skills.
• Proactive curiosity and basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs/spreadsheets used for reconciliation and posting.
• Investigate, research, and reconcile deposits with supporting documentation.
• Reach out to clients and payers for additional information as needed.
• Identify and resolve posting errors and necessary follow ups.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites when needed.
• Research unidentified payments to determine proper resolution.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads or supervisors.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to the billing system and bank.
• Handle special projects and assignments as needed.
