Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist for a fully remote role within designated U.S. states.

You will ensure deposit receipts, post payments, and reconcile daily, weekly, and monthly balances with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of medical insurance posting experience, strong knowledge of payer contracts and government rules, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google apps.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contract & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems experience a plus).
• Experience in tasks requiring basic accounting and math skills.
• Proactive with AI fluency to identify efficiency gains.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs and spreadsheets for reconciliation.
• Investigate and reconcile deposits and posting documentation.
• Research outstanding deposits and contact payers as needed.
• Identify information to clear posting errors and follow ups.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve remittances from payor websites when needed.
• Research unidentified payments and determine resolution.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to billing system and bank.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
