Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist for a fully remote role in the United States. The candidate will handle deposits, posting, and follow-up with payers to ensure timely and accurate reconciliations across daily, weekly, and monthly cycles.

Requirements include 3+ years of medical insurance posting experience, knowledge of payer contracts and government rules, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google apps. Experience with Raintree Systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contracts & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Google applications.
• Skilled in payment posting with understanding of A/R follow up.
• Knowledge of insurance and reimbursement policies.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems a plus).
• Experience with basic accounting and math skills.
• Basic AI fluency to identify efficiency gains.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs/spreadsheets for reconciliation.
• Investigate, research, and resolve deposits; contact payers for information as needed.
• Identify information to clear posting errors and follow ups.
• Participate in month end closing.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites when needed.
• Research unidentified payments and determine resolutions.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries.
