Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to ensure accurate posting, deposits, and reconciliations within a fully remote U.S. environment. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in medical insurance posting and strong payer knowledge.

Responsibilities include month-end closing, remittance retrieval, and collaboration with clients and payers to resolve discrepancies, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and efficient daily workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contract & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Experience with payment posting and accounts receivable follow up in medical billing.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs/spreadsheets for reconciliation and posting accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve outstanding deposits; contact payers as needed.
• Identify posting errors and coordinate resolutions with team.
• Participate in month-end closing processes.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payer websites when required.
• Research unidentified payments and recoupment for proper handling.
• Monitor patterns indicating issues and notify leads.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits with billing system and bank.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
