Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Payment Reconciliation Specialist to support accurate posting, deposit reconciliation, and timely remittance processing in a remote U.S. team.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in medical insurance posting, knowledge of payer contracts and government reimbursement rules, and strong MS Office and billing software skills. Remote-first with HIPAA compliance and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of medical insurance posting experience.
• Knowledge of payer contracts & government reimbursement rules.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Experience with medical billing software (Raintree Systems experience a plus).

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain logs/spreadsheets for reconciliation.
• Investigate deposits and resolve posting discrepancies.
• Identify and research posting errors; follow up with clients/payors.
• Participate in month-end closing.
• Retrieve and post remittances from payor websites.
• Research unidentified payments and determine resolutions.
• Identify patterns indicating issues and notify leads.
• Assist clients by answering inquiries and providing information.
• Reconcile daily cash deposits to billing system and bank.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
