Job summary

Openkrill is seeking an experienced Payment Operations Coordinator to own and optimize the day-to-day payments workflow in a fast-growing, remote-friendly environment. This role covers merchant onboarding, transaction monitoring, reconciliation, issue resolution, and ongoing merchant support.

You will collaborate with processors and banks, build scalable processes, and help establish KPIs and dashboards as the business scales. This is an early-stage, high-impact position.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience in payment processing or related field.
• Hands-on understanding of payment lifecycle.
• Experience with merchant onboarding and account management.
• Knowledge of reconciliation, settlements, and chargebacks.
• Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day payment processing activity and transaction flows.
• Support merchant onboarding from application to activation.
• Assist with daily reconciliation and review settlement reports.
• Manage chargebacks, disputes, and refunds with proper documentation.
• Prepare payment operations reports and dashboards.
• Develop and document SOPs for recurring processes.
• Identify and implement efficiency improvements as volumes grow.
