Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions seeks a Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator to join our remote team. This role requires you to live within a 2-3 hour radius of Macon, GA and work Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations, coordinate imaging and scheduling across hospital partners while delivering exceptional patient service and maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 2+ years in scheduling or healthcare billing preferred.
• Over one year in customer service or client relations.
• Experience in a hospital or office environment preferred.
• High-volume call center experience preferred.
• Strong literacy and MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with hospital systems preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Remote/Hybrid work requires reliable internet.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations for scheduled services.
• Collect diagnosis/CPT information for authorizations.
• Manage scheduling of complex imaging exams and educate patients.
• Verify HIPAA information and communicate with patients and physicians.
• Document notes in hospital and ElevatePFS systems.
• Monitor emails and faxes and respond to requests.
• Maintain logs of scheduled procedures and ensure timely verifications.
• Communicate operational issues with supervisors and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements.
