Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Scheduling and Authorization Coordinator to join our Layton, Utah hospital team. This on-site role handles patient calls, schedules imaging and procedures, and coordinates with physicians and hospital staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and requires strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and health-care systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 2+ years in patient scheduling, registration, or healthcare billing preferred.
• Over one year in customer service or client relations is preferred.
• Experience in office or hospital environments and high-volume call centers is preferred.
• Strong literacy, grammar, spelling and math skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with hospital systems is preferred.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Excellent interviewing and telephone communication skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to communicate assertively and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling of imaging and procedures with hospitals and physicians.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls to schedule imaging services and educate patients.
• Verify HIPAA information and ensure accuracy in scheduling and communications.
• Schedule and document notes in hospital and ElevatePFS systems.
• Manage emails, faxes, voicemails, and scheduling logs.
• Use scheduling software and systems to coordinate multiple exams across modalities.
• Communicate operational activities with supervisors and managers.
• Interact courteously with internal and external customers and uphold company image.
• Identify and propose process improvements for RMA services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
