Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Patient Financial Services Supervisor to lead daily revenue cycle operations and mentor a high-performing team.

You will oversee billing, insurance follow-up, denials, and patient self-pay workflows while ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies across HB and PB functions. You will monitor performance metrics, identify payer trends, and drive process improvements in cash collections, aging, and account resolution, with travel 15-30% and PST/CST hours

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of hospital Patient Financial Services or revenue cycle experience including billing, AR, denials, collections, self-pay, cash posting.
• 1–2+ years of team lead or supervisory experience.
• Working knowledge of Hospital Billing (HB) and/or Professional Billing (PB) and payer processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily PFS operations for billing, insurance follow-up, denials, self-pay, cash posting, and final account resolution.
• Manage work queues, AR inventories, aging, unresolved accounts, unapplied cash, and backlogs; align work to volume and staffing.
• Monitor staffing capacity and service levels; rebalance resources to maintain performance.
• Ensure adherence to workflows, SOPs, payer requirements, and account documentation standards.
• Identify barriers affecting reimbursement and drive resolutions.
• Oversee insurance follow-up across Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, and patient responsibility processes.
• Monitor aging, denials, underpayments, and appeals; prioritize actions based on risk.
• Guide root-cause analysis with stakeholders to address recurring payer trends.
• Oversee patient balance workflows, including statements, financial assistance, and bad debt handling.
• Ensure timely cash posting, remittance activity, and reconciling cash.
• Lead coaching and development of PFS associates; regular performance updates.
• Monitor key indicators and drive continuous improvement across HB and PB.
