Job summary

Sentara Healthcare is seeking a full-time Patient Care Specialist to provide non-clinical support in a physician's office and ensure an excellent patient experience through administrative tasks. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with questions. Clinic hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, dayshift, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• 3 years Customer Service experience (Required)
• 1 year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers (Required)
• HS Diploma (Required) or equivalent alternatives considered

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical support within a physician's office.
• Answer phones and schedule patient appointments.
• Answer patient questions and guide patients through administrative processes.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver excellent patient experience.
