Job summary

Cedars-Sinai in the United States is seeking a Patient Financial Services representative to support patient relations, billing and collections. Under supervision you will identify, analyze and resolve inquiries, escalate when needed, and ensure payment and timely resolution.

You will work with hospital and professional billing processes, maintain accurate documentation, and help patients, insurers and third parties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Associate degree in business, finance, or health insurance preferred.
• Minimum 1 year hospital or professional billing and/or collection experience with customer service and call center experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve patient inquiries and issues.
• Follow up on accounts to ensure payment and resolution.
• Negotiate and document payment plans within policies.
• Deescalate issues and maintain patient satisfaction.
• Work with payor contracts and billing policies.
