Job summary

Firstsource Solutions is seeking a Patient Advocate Specialist to work remotely in TN, MS, or AR. You will contact patients to resolve medical balances, assess eligibility for assistance programs, and guide them through applications.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and a commitment to confidentiality. Prior call center or customer service experience is preferred, and knowledge of medical billing or coding is helpful.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior customer service or call center experience preferred.
• Experience with medical billing or coding is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Address outstanding account balances by contacting patients by phone.
• Assess eligibility for state, county, and federal assistance programs.
• Identify patient needs and guide them through the application process.
• Initiate applications when feasible and advise on suitable programs.
• Coordinate with field staff as needed and maintain patient rapport.
• Evaluate status of applications and follow up until benefits are secured or approved.
• Resolve accounts promptly and maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to policies, security, and compliance requirements.
• Support corporate compliance program and participate in assigned projects.
• Maintain high CSAT and NPS and ensure regulatory compliance.
