Job summary

Firstsource Solutions is seeking a Regional Patient Advocate to screen patients at hospitals for eligibility and assist with applications at the bedside when feasible. This role requires travel within a designated region to provide coverage and support for hospital staff and patients.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of experience in medical billing/coding or eligibility work, excellent computer skills, and a professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years' experience in medical billing, medical coding, eligibility (government or hospital) or related medical field preferred.
• Strong computer and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients at hospitals for eligibility, initiating applications where feasible.
• Travel within an assigned region to provide coverage and support.
• Document screening results in hospital systems and notify designated staff.
• Maintain accurate patient records and provide regular updates to client contacts.
• Foster positive relationships with hospital staff and patient advocates.
• Perform fieldwork (home visits) as needed and assist with assigned projects.
