Beth Israel Lahey Health Behavioral Services is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support our Behavioral Health programs. The role ensures a welcoming patient experience when accessing care and that patient confidentiality and safety are maintained.

Responsibilities include registering patients, verifying demographics and insurance, and coordinating with Financial Counseling as needed. The position is remote with a Monday–Friday 10:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule and every other Sunday, with

Competenze

High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of related healthcare, patient access, registration, or customer service experience.
Strong understanding of health insurance; behavioral health experience preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
Knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems.
Call center experience preferred.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Mansioni

Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
Confirm insurance eligibility and apply appropriate coverage and guarantor information.
Communicate financial responsibility and refer patients to Financial Counseling as needed.
Serve as a liaison between Behavioral Health programs and Patient Access.
Coordinate coverage changes and authorization updates.
Maintain accurate records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
