Job summary

USC Care Medical Group seeks a Patient Access Liaison I to serve as the primary contact for access to USC academic medical centers and Health Sciences Campus. You will answer calls and messages, screen inquiries, and route them to appropriate medical personnel, scheduling initial and follow-up appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years in customer service or 1 year in healthcare.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency in the quality of work and knowledge of a Patient Access Representative.
• Strives for first call resolution and high level of customer service.
• Maintains warm, courteous and professional demeanor per USC/Keck standards.
• May verify insurance as needed.
• May page physicians as dictated by internal procedures and transfer calls to appropriate departments.
