Job summary

University of Southern California Care Medical Group seeks a Patient Access Liaison to serve as the primary contact for access to USC academic medical centers. You will answer, screen, and direct calls and messages using a call management system and may schedule appointments. Remote work may be required as directed.

Qualifications include high school or equivalent, 2 years in customer service (healthcare preferred), excellent communication, and HIPAA knowledge. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Req High school or equivalent.
• Pref Knowledge of HIPPA compliance and various health insurance types.

Responsibilities

• Answers, screens and directs incoming and outgoing telephone calls, electronic messages and other web-based communications.
• May schedule and confirm initial and follow-up medical appointments as needed.
• May verify insurance as needed.
• May page physicians as dictated by internal procedures, correctly, professionally and in a timely manner.
