Job summary

Capital Medical Group | Independence Physician Management (IPM), a UHS subsidiary, is seeking a Call Center Specialist to provide patient access support for Capital Medical Group practices. This remote position handles appointment scheduling, registration, insurance information, and other patient access requests.

The role requires professional, HIPAA-compliant customer service while entering data in Epic, routing requests to the appropriate department, and delivering accurate scheduling

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-volume Contact Center environment.
• Knowledge of healthcare scheduling, registration, insurance, and physician specialties preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to patient calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Schedule appointments and procedures according to established scheduling guidelines and decision-tree workflows.
• Enter and maintain patient information accurately in Epic.
• Verify insurance eligibility and provide patients with information regarding financial responsibility.
