Job summary

Exeter Hospital seeks a Per Diem Call Center Representative to support patient access by pre-registering patients, verifying insurance, and handling referrals. You will liaise between physician practices and patients to ensure timely, coordinated care.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Remote work is available after training, with hours that vary by department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Local Applicants only; 100% remote option once fully trained (training weeks include Mondays).
• Hours will vary based on business/department needs.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register patients and verify demographic and insurance information prior to appointments.
• Communicate patient financial responsibilities, including co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance expectations.
• Review insurance eligibility and verify primary care provider assignments.
• Contact patients regarding insurance discrepancies and update information before visits.
• Coordinate and schedule new patient appointments across Core Physicians.
• Assist patients with obtaining medical records and navigating appointment logistics.
• Communicate updates and concerns to practice staff.
• Obtain referrals and prior authorizations as required and schedule appointments.
• Identify and report authorization/system issues and help develop solutions.
• Serve as liaison between patients, practices, and insurers to resolve issues.
