Essentia Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative/ Scheduler at St. Josephs Medical Center.

The role greets patients, collects demographic and financial data, verifies insurance, and facilitates registration and scheduling with a focus on accuracy and courteous service. Responsibilities include handling co-payments, updating medical records, scheduling follow-ups, and providing cost estimates for upcoming visits.

Responsabilidades

• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and financial information for registration.
• Obtains insurance cards and updates patient records as needed.
• Performs point-of-service data collection and reconciles co-payments.
• Schedules follow-up appointments per physician orders.
• Provides cost estimates and itineraries for upcoming appointments.
• Answers calls, assists with checkout, and directs to clinical team as needed.
• Maintains queues, sanitizes registration equipment, and restocks supplies.
• Performs other clerical duties as assigned.
